Configuration of a PiTFT touchscreen?

Has anyone had any luck configuring a PiTFT touchscreen on RuneOS?

I'm interested in adding one to my Rune setup but the instructions and software provided are all in .deb form, and RuneOS doesn't seem to have dpkg and the like.

Can you also use the screen to search for albums, switch soimgs etc? Interface spotify?
I plan on using such a display as the only interface to the runeaudio device.
