Hi Chris,

did you select / enable the i2s driver (HifiBerry DAC+) on the settings page?

now I did. That was my problem. Thanks & solved.

(I do wonder a little that this isn't somewhere obvious in the documentation or in case it is, that my read/search skills are so bad. But I should have checked the settings in the first place, obviously.)

Re: [SOLVED] Hifiberry DAC+ not listed in MPD audio output m

Hello, I have the same problem of my Hifiberry not being listed in the Audio Output Interface dropdown menu

I have tried to apply the described solution. Unfortunately this is not possible for me as the "I²S kernel modules" item gives me no choice and says "Enable I²S output by selecting one of the available sets of modules (in this version you have to edit /boot/config.txt), specific for each hardware. Once set, the output interface will appear in the MPD configuration select menu, and modules will also auto-load from the next reboot. "

I don't know how to edit config.txt : how to do that and what to write.
This is very annoying, as I can't use my hifiberry.
My version is : RuneAudio_rpi2_rp3_0.4-beta_20160321_2GB.img

Can someone help me please ?

I've the same problem, Hifiberry DAC is not in the list at all.

Also noticed that Runeaudio seems to think this is a Rpi2 ... it's not, it's a Rpi3

"HW platform
RaspberryPi2 (08)"

I thought I found the solution, edited /boot/config.txt to enable the Hifiberry entries, rebooted and... nothing :(
