Hi
I downloaded the version linked to by hondagx35 in the 5th topic page, however I have two questions.
There is a constant white noise on all music both ny NAS mount and my spotify music, what causes this?

Also, does anyone know when the new rpi 2 will be officially supported?

Using the Pi-Supply Switch

Postby ianhaynes » 23 Mar 2015, 13:03

I'm using an IQ-Audio DAC+ on the RP2 and would like to use the Pi-Supply switch to turn them off properly and avoid any risk of corrupting the SD card.

The Pi-Supply switch normally uses pin 8 on the GPIO but this is used by the DAC for something else. Someone suggests changing the 'soft off' program/routine to set another GPIO pin high (which will then go down when shutdown finishes, as does pin 8 normally). Is this something I can alter in the config file or is it more deeply buried in the Rune code?

Any sugestions appreciated.

Hi All
I am setting up an own designed DAC/amplifier and currently have good success rate with i2s from beta from 4. marts
Digital audio works fine form web stream - but when I connect to spotify I only have analog output.
Is there a good reason for that?

My /etc/config.txt

# and the other i2c baudrate parameters.

device_tree_param=i2c_arm=on
#device_tree_param=i2c_vc=on
device_tree_param=i2s=on
device_tree_param=spi=on
#device_tree_param=act_led_trigger=mmc

# Uncomment one of these lines to enable an audio interface
device_tree_overlay=hifiberry-dac
#device_tree_overlay=hifiberry-dacplus
#device_tree_overlay=hifiberry-digi
#device_tree_overlay=hifiberry-amp
#device_tree_overlay=iqaudio-dac
#device_tree_overlay=iqaudio-dacplus

Hi
Maby this is the right place to post this question:
Thanks a lot for a promising image, I only have two things to solve.

I am trying to figure out how to connect to my DNLA source.
Rpi 2
Hifiberry dac+
I use the image from Hondagx35's posted in this thread the 06.03.15.
My Runeaudio rpi is recognised by my synology NAS and the music folder is indexed.
DLNA is enabled but the DLNA button is grey in the Runeaudio player list. How do I proceed on checking what could be wrong?

Also the playlist folders in Spotify will not load. Does anyone know the reason for this?

Hi
After using this wonderful piece of software on a RPI B and B+ now for several months I tried it today under RPI 2 (RuneAudio_rpi2_0.3-beta_20150304_2GB).

Almost everything worked directly "out of the Box".

However a few questions I have:

On RPI B and B+:
With "Audio output Inteface" switched to analog, I could have connected both, a separate powered speaker connected to the 3.5mm Audio output jack, as well as Logilink UA0053 USB soundcard connected via USB. Such both outputs where active at the same time.

Now with RPI 2 I have output to one of both at the same time only and I always have to switch between the two sources in MPD Tab.
Could it be that with RPI B and B+ it was possible to have both outputs activated at the same time, but with RPI 2 not?

The sound max. volume under RPI 2 (analog and via USB sound card) seems to be much lower, than before with RPI B por B+. Is there a way to change this?

I wasn't able to get the Spotify part playing music yet, if I am choosing a Playlist "Add, replace and play" nothing happens. Nothing get's added to the Playlist.

It would be great if somebody could give me an advice.

Thanks and Happy Easter.

Best regards

Hi Posting this here as I didn't see a related post.

I am seeing very poor wifi performance on my RPi2. I get skipping and stuttering for anything greater than 320kbps MP3.

I Have a 300mbps wireless N USB wifi dongle from Monoprice http://amzn.com/B0069MGRG4

I have a netgear wndr4500 (2.4Ghz @450mbps and 5ghz at 450mbps).

The data requirements for my 24/192 flac files are ~ 5mbps (according to some internet math and the data rate displayed on my bubbleupnp when playing via wired connection)

I placed the rpi2 2 feet away from the wifi router to test it. Confirmed via the netgenie networking tool that I have a physical link rate of 100mbps. And still get only about 300-400kbps throughput. I've doubled the buffer size and increased the buffer fill rate to 30%. The link rate should be well sufficient to support the 5mbps real rate required. Any idea where the problem lies?

Any other options to try and improve the throughput on the device?

I read this article on jRiver and computer audiophile and wondered if there are some changes required in the rune audio code that can help address this.

http://www.computeraudiophile.com/conte ... -wireless/

http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=82621.0

Edit update:
As a test I took my old Airport express (2008 wireless N) and set it up as a wireless client and used it as the wifi access point and then plugged in my Pi2 via ethernet (10/100). It ran like a champ all the way up to 24/192 FLAC with no issues. Also accessing the device through the web interface was much more performant. So I know it's not my wifi bandwidth.

So any chance someone could look at improving the streaming performance via wifi USB? Please let me know what additional information you'd like me to log and provide.
