$35 Raspberry Pi clone Lemon Pi board with Quad-core A9 and

Postby stephanieraspi » 28 May 2015, 18:17

I saw this Lemon Pi crowdfunding campaign on https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/lemo ... urce-board .I want to know what's the differences of power consumption and computing capacity between ARM A7 and A9? It seems that this board also has 40-pin connect. So can the expansion board I am using on RPi2 work with this clone board directly? Thanks for reply.

basically, the A7 is a newer version of a very similar architecture as the A9. So performance should be pretty close. But A7 is optimised for newer hardware and lower power use. There's almost nothing "new" built with A9 CPU. If you have a choice, go for A7.

EDIT: for your expansion board, it's a problem for the LemonPi guys. They should tell how compatible they are with Rasberry pi. First on the hardware level (which pin does what) and on software.
