have the Raspberry pi 2, Pi Dac+ from IQaudio, a panda Panda 300Mbps Wireless-N USB Adapter for WiFi, and everything is powered with a Plugable USB 2.0 7-Port High Speed Hub with 15W Power Adapter. I am actually pulling files via wifi from the hard drive on another computer. All i had to do was enable windows sharing and Rune Audio found them pretty easy!
Rune Audio was placed onto a 16 GB san disc Micro SD card and it was easy peasy to set up!! The instructions here are very simple and easy to walk through setting this up so if you are reading this and contemplating it, i suggest you go for it! It is not hard at all!
The DAC is connected to an early 90s Sony AVR via analog cables and it sounds outstanding. As i have read elsewhere, I had to turn the volume up on my AVR as there was "noise" that was missing . It is clean as a whistle and sounds delicious! Even Mp3s sound better. I am comparing the sound to that of an rca splitter from a laptops headphone out to the same analog inputs that i am using now.
The only thing am missing from my old setup (other than noise) is the ability to listen to SiriusXM. Is there any chance or is it even possible to do so via Rune Audio? I know the streams from siriusXM satellite are necessarily high quality, but there is some programming on there that i really like to listen to (and i have discovered a lot of music that i otherwise would not have known about by listening to it!)
Thanks for a high quality product, and even if siriusXM is not a possibility, Rune Audio is a keeper for me!
