A newbie question.

Hi folks. I've just signed up after lurking for a few weeks. I am building a digital music player based on a Pi2B, Hifiberry Digi+, 320GB 2.5'' WD blue laptop hard drive and a 3A linear power supply. I would like to avoid a powered usb hub if I can as there is very limited space in the case. I believe from the on-line research I have done that if the USB current limit is set to the higher limit it should be possible to power the hard drive directly from the Pi.

Is the USB current limit set at the higher limit by default in the latest version of Runeaudio for the Pi2B or will I have to edit the configuration file to enable this? I remember reading a thread in which Frank mentions that it has been incorporated into the then current version. Is this still the case?Thank you for the excellent work you have put in to create and update this amazing piece of technology.
