Accessing USB disk share from a laptop

Postby Felisek » 19 Dec 2015, 20:13

I'm running RuneAudio 0.3 beta on Raspberry PI 2. My music is on a USB stick attached to the PI. I'm trying to access it from my MacBook Pro (Yosemite) in order to transfer files. I'd prefer to do a rsync from my laptop to the USB stick without taking it out of the PI.

In the Finder I can see RUNEAUDIO/music_store/USB/sda1-usb-SanDisk_Cruzer_B, but I cannot go any further since I don't have access. I'm connected as 'Guest', so this must be why. I tried connecting as 'root' with the standard password 'rune', but I got error:

There was a problem connecting to the server "RUNEAUDIO".

Just to confirm, I can connect to the PI by ssh, with the aforementioned user and password.

How do I connect to the server, so I can access the USB content?

Just wanted to add that Samba shares work perfectly both on Volumio and Moode, out of the box. However, I much prefer Rune's interface and would like to use it.

Any chance of fixing it here?

Hi all,

with RuneAudio usb storage devices get mounted in read only (ro) mode.
To change this you have to edit /etc/udevil/udevil.conf
For more information please read .

Thanks Frank! I've changed options in /etc/udevil/udevil.conf for default_options_exfat and default_options_vfat from 'ro' to 'rw'. Strange, I still cannot access the content of the USB disk via Finder, but now it is visible from the command line. Need to see if rsync works properly on this.
