i am about to start building a standalone digital music player with the raspberry pi 2 & a digi card with a digital out to an external DAC which is then connected to my valve amp & diy speakers.
initially i thought of building a basic player with no screen.
but now i feel it would be great to have a screen to display the ui.
i dont want to access the player using the touch screen, for this i will use my android phone.
i have assembled a linear power supply for the pi & a box is ready. i ordered a 3.5 inch screen only to discover that it doesnt work. so i figured that runeaudio + pi2 needs a hdmi capable screen with preinstalled drivers.

i would appreciate some input on this or any suggestions for my project.
