autoplay on startup only works with LAN, not with WiFi

Hello,

on my raspberry pi I installed the latest version. In the settings the state file is active. But with this I have a problem. When the raspberry is connected by LAN, this is working very well, but when I use WiFi, it is not working. The buttons and playlist is loaded, but it is not starting playing. Looks like the settings are done, when the WiFi adapter is not yet ready. How can I make this working with WiFi?

that's a timing issue with the wi-fi connection in our setup. We are already working to implement a nicer solution for the network management, so keep an eye on the updates.

Interesting as auto-play is working fine for me and I am only in Wifi mode no cable.....

I have the same issue with the WiFi.

Maybe it's a WiFi-device problem. I'm using an Edimax USB-device. It takes much time on startup to get the connection.

@ cmh714: what WiFi dongle do you use?

Or anybody else without this thing, which dongles are working?

I think a later git submit changed this behavior, because I just tested with a new fresh flash and a git pull and this is NOT happening anymore....at least on Wifi only.

I did a clean install last week, but the problem is already there.

Any ideas how to solve it?

if its doing the same on a fresh install, then my guess is that one of the pacman updates I did changed the behaovior to make it auto-play, and since then a subsequent git change made it stop again.....

I will test with another of my images that has been fully updated via git and pacman and let you know its behavior.

OK, so I just started up Rune this morning and auto-play is working again for me via wifi.

This is a system with the original beta image and git pull ONLY. NO pacman updates.

Unfortunately, I still get endless spinners upon startup but once I use the restart rune_PL_wrk button on the dev page (or via cli), its fine.
