Cannot skip in large mp3

In a 320kbs large mp3 (longer than one hour) when I skip to say 40 minutes the file restarts playing from the beginning after a few seconds. Increasing the buffer to 16384 did not help. I can skip in the same mp3 just fine in Moode Player so the cause must be a local setting in Rune. Any help would be much appreciated, search hasn't returned an answer.

(Rpi3 with Pi-DAC+ and latest Rune downloaded today on class 10 card, ethernet connection to WD NAS)

Exact same behaviour (several seconds silence after skipping and then plays from start) when playing the same file from another gigabit NAS drive (WD MyCloud). Playing the file from a USB stick in the RPi is perfect, playback continues within a second after skipping anywhere in the file.

Is the 100 mbps ethernet of the RPi3 too slow for a 320 kbps mp3? Probably not. It must be a suboptimal setting in network transfer in Rune because Moode Audio skips perfectly, as when playing from the USB stick in Rune.

Has anyone found the same? Is there a fix?

Little correction: Moode Audio is silent for a few seconds after skipping but then continues to play.
