Disabling the native Pi audio

Postby ianhaynes » 28 Oct 2016, 15:18

In response to a post about setting up the DAC card the poster was referred to the PI Troubleshooting documentation. I saw in there the note about disabling the native analog output, so thought I may as well do that. It instruct you to comment out the snd-bcm2835 line in the /etc/modules-load.d/raspberrypi.conf file.

My /etc/modules-load.d directory is empty and has no raspberrypi.conf.

Has this moved in newer builds?

I read the very same thing and have just edited my raspberrypi.conf file, which is where it should have been...

I'm still learning RuneAudio as well, but in a post from Frank (hondagx35) he mentioned running the following:
pacman -Sy --force raspberrypi-firmware-bootloader linux-raspberrypi
and then following that with:
rm /etc/modules-load.d/raspberrypi.conf.

I'm not saying you should do that, but according to those steps /etc/modules-load.d/raspberrypi.conf appears to not be needed anymore.
