Latest image loaded onto Raspberrypi 2B playing over Schitt Audio Bitfrost DAC (not DSD capable). DSF file loaded onto USB stick and played on device. The file plays, but stutters a lot. As I understand mpd settings, if DSD is set to on, then mpd attempts DSD native, next attempts PCM wrapped DSD, and lastly does on-the-fly conversion. I have tried playing with the DSD switch both on and off.
A competing player seems to play DSF files fine.
JRiver on linux apparently only addresses one core -- that is the explanation as to why it won't play DSF files.
What settings or config files should I edit to get DSF files to play. I like everything else about this player!
