EDIMAX AC600 support

Dear Forum,
Thank you for the great support. The RuneAudio is a fantastic software. My system runs on Pi2B, and I updated the GUI with the dev build. I recently purchased a new Edimax AC600 to allow for a greater sped to the network. Plugging the WiFi device is registered Bus 001 Device 005: ID 7392:a812 Edimax Technology Co., Ltd when running lsusb.

I am writing to request advise with setup on the Edimax AC600 with Rune. I am familiar with Debian, but new to Arch. I am comfortable to load/unload drivers, but may need a step by step to compile.

Would you if I can find compiled drivers? Otherwise, can you help me with instructions to compile the drivers?

Out of curiosity, did you measure the network throughput with your old WiFi dongle?

Reading online, I have seen some wide variation in posted speeds from different people, and when I measured mine (using iperf), it was well below what even a slow dongle is capable of.

What I am getting at is, depending on where the bottleneck happens to be, a faster WiFi dongle may or may not help.
