ES9023 I2s dacs

Postby Alfredo » 04 Nov 2014, 19:13

Hello everybody, I am new to the forum. I'm starting to test this software. Like the polished UI and its responsiveness. It seems quickest than in Volumio :)

I have ordered one board from

I wonder whether this dac is supported and if the rest of es9023 boards (ie. Audiophonics I2s) are supported as well.

Thanks

Hi Alfredo,
you are lucky because we ordered a couple of ES9023 I2S DAC some days ago to give them a try :) So yes, we'll add them as supported in the future.

I'm using es9023 based Sellarz DAC from ebay with external 49.1520 mhz clock. This combination works flawlessly with hifiberry i2s driver. Even 24/192 works without any distortion.

I had some problems with Volumio with this setup when playing high resolution files but Runeaudio works well. I have to say that I'm really impressed by the sound quality!
