Formatting Music Drive

Postby Pscotttt » 05 May 2016, 03:16

I am planning to play music from an external SSD drive plugged into the Pi 3 via USB. I would be ripping my CD's on my Windows 7 computer and saving them to the drive, then moving the drive over to the Pi 3 and playing them via RuneAudio. Any tricks to this that I am not anticipating? Will the Pi 3 and RuneAudio be compatible with the file system formatted by my computer?

Rune can read NTFS, FAT32/16 and Ext3/4 partitions. You should be fine.
If formatting to use with large files, use 64k clusters or something large.
