FTP Support

Is possible add the ftp support?
In this way is not needed an extern usb archive

I also would like to have FTP access (to my MP3 collection on an USB stick)

I tried to install vsftpd but couldn't get it work (but pls note I'm almost a linux analphabet)
Then I came accross that page here.

I reinstalled with a new image from scratch and noticed that this
line "Subsystem sftp /usr/lib/ssh/sftp-server " is not commented out in /etc/ssh/sshd_config
Howerver, when I triy to ftp or sftp with root/rune or anonymous I get no connection.
What am I doing or thinking wrong?

Hi rasti,

SFTP works out of the box on all RuneAudio platforms.
I use WinSCP without any problems.

I use totalcommander and sftp is not included in the normal ftp interface...

I tried to install the total commander plugin but couldn't get it work.

I installed WINSCP and it works.
At least in the directories on the SD card.
The USB is only visible to me but I cannot write files to (I get error code 4)
Owner of these fies is MPD and I FTPd as user root, so
probably a user right problem....any quick fix for that ?

It works now ! (at least with WINscp, as for total commander I need to dig a bit deeper ....)

last question for tonight, when I am in the browse directory window, and see
the option USB STORAGE (1) , how or where can I change the default start folder from
/mnt/MPD/USB/
to
/mnt/MPD/USB/sda1-usb-SanDisk_Cruzer_B/mp3/

Do I just need to edit that line :
allowed_media_dirs = /mnt/MPD/USB
in that same file udevil.conf ?

Hello,

my /etc/fstab: static looks quite different (see below), I have no clue what to change there

If this is a rather big deal to change the start directory, I'll leave it as is.
As I already mentioned, I am almost a lunix analphabet....
Anyway, I have all I ever needed and that small change is just cosmetics....
