HDMI problems

Hi,
i listen to music by connecting my onkyo 5.1 ampli via HDMI, so that I am able to listen to 5.1 Flac files.

When I turn on raspberry (2) the hdmi icon on onkyo blinks and eventually disappears. I cant hear any sound.

I found this workaround: I switch to analog output (from runeaudio console) and then again to hdmi. The HDMI icon in this case is promptly "on" and everything works perfectly (including multichannel flac!)

Any suggestion on how to use runeaudio w/o the workaround?

just for your information, onkyo is connected to a TV via ARC and I can see the rune shell on it.
In any case the suggested configuration is ok.
