I have both and there's no question the IQ Pi digiAmp+ is the better product.
Look around and see how many how-tos there are to get the Hifiberry product to work with things like shairport. Look at the forums and see how many posts there are for the Hifiberry product compared to the IQ - less is more!
IQ works out of the box, has a much better resampling rate, has better on-board options for amp power, has a proper logarithmic/dB scale volume control, easily integrates with a physical volume knob and afaik, all of the five main Pi integrated music players works with no fiddling around - volumio, rune, moode, Pi music box and Kali. There may be more, but those are the only ones I have used and seem to represent the majority of implementations.
The price is more than representative of the respective quality, imo.
On a purely technical level, the hifiberryn amp uses the TAS5713 DAC the IQ uses the TAS5756, which has DSP functionality built in and hardware muting.
£50 vs US$55... nothing in it, price-wise.
