Hifiberry dac not available in MPD setting (solved)

Trying to get hifiberry dac plus to work with runeaudio latest beta .3
Selection is not available for the dac in MPD . Available are analog and hdmi only.
I have removed the comments in the config file for i2s and the hifiberry dacs.
any help is appreciated.I am a new member to the site.

Thanks Frank. I have made those changes but still no HIFI Berry in the MPD menu. I know my dac is good it is working and shows up in the menu for Kodi . Im baffled.

OK Thanks. One other question .I am editing the file (removing the # )with the flash card in my windows PC. Im told this is an alternative to using the linux terminal ,is this correct.

Got it working ,I deleted all the lines pertaining to the audio cards and I copy and pasted the lines you provided and its now on the menu .Must have been a typo somewhere .Thanks for your help

Hi Frank,
What meant was - Having an i2c DAC is pretty common. The action of enabling it should be clear to the "quick starting user", and he shouldn't be asking about it, nor should he start searching around. I say this because I have noticed (during my very short period here) this is a repearting issue, and "stickying" it can save time for the supporting staff.

As for the topic opening, I think I would.. didn't mean to leech
