Does this combination work for you with 24/192 FLAC files? I have a Digi+ board piggy-backed onto my RP 2 model B and it will not play 24/192 FLAC files, though it's fine with 24/96. I'm hoping that it's a problem with the driver for the Digi+ board which will be fixed in the next release of Rune.

Hi Cloth Ears, are you using optical or coax out? In the first case it could be actually phisically limited to 24/96.
