HiFiBerry DIGI+ - Which option to uncomment in config.txt

Postby RB0135 » 01 Sep 2016, 13:29

Hi All,

On to my 2nd Raspberry Pi3B (one works great with the HiFiBerry DAC+ hat) I thought I would get another Raspberry PI3B for my main system with a HiFi Berry Digi+ hat (Coaxial connected).

I have installed Rune, and configured it and am getting the dreaded pops/cracks between tracks (but only seems when tracks change with a different bit rate). Anyway, I am trying to search for fixes for the pops/cracks as some of the forum posts I've read said there are a few things to try, but I cant actually find what to try.

Starting to do some trouble shooting, the point of this post is to find out if I have picked the right option in the /boot/config.txt file.

Here are options:
#dtoverlay=hifiberry-dac
#dtoverlay=hifiberry-dacplus
dtoverlay=hifiberry-digi
#dtoverlay=hifiberry-amp
#dtoverlay=iqaudio-dac
#dtoverlay=iqaudio-dacplus

I have un-commented dtoverlay-hifiberry-digi, but I have the digi+. The hifiberry dac has both options (standard and plus).

So, am I using the correct dtoverlay for the digi+? It does seem to be working OK except for the pops/cracks on changing tracks.

Thanks,
Rob

Thanks Frank as usual.

That is a good link.

Tick that one off the list in my troubleshooting.
