Teamed my Pi B+ up with a Digi+: works fine, except for the static noise I (sometimes) get when I switch audio tracks manually... Could be the Rega DAC, though.

I have a DAC+ (phone jack version) with a B+ and works perfectly, no noise.

I have a Pi 2 Model B which I was using with a Digi+ board WITH transformer. However it would not correctly play 24bit 192kHZ FLAC audio files. HiFiBerry figured out that the problem was because the amp into which I was feeding the digital signal is not earthed by design and, of course, neither is the Pi. Apparently this can cause problems with high sample rate audio files. They have agreed to replace the Digi+ board with transformer with the version that is directly coupled and that should ensure that the Pi and amp will then have the same floating earth and that should cure the problem.

So, my advice is that you check first to see if your amp or DAC is earthed. If it's not, there will be a symbol somewhere on the device that looks like a small square inside a larger square, indicating that it's "double insulated" and that there is no earth connection. If that's the case, then buy the version of the Digi+ WITHOUT the de-coupling transformer.
