How Do I Enable HiFi Berry?

I'm new to the Rune Audio. I'm trying to find out how to enable it to output the audio through the connected HiFi Berry DAC+. I don't see it listed as an option anywhere. Just the pi analog and HDMI show up. I did some searching in this forum and found many threads with various HiFi Berry issues, but none mentioned how to get the shield to be discovered by the pi 3 that I'm using.
