Just in case anyone hasn't seen this, the HiFiBerry DAC does indeed work with Rune beta 2: http://devicecontext.blogspot.co.uk/201 ... berry.html

It works very well. I'm quite happy with it.

I have tried that and yes it Works.
But I still look forward to the new beta. I can't use Rune without WIFI support.
I found some code that could ad WIFI, but I can't use it because Rune forget the settings when rebooting.

So until beta0.3 I will stay on Volumio!!!!

I power my pi via GPIO pins 1 & 6. Also use a GPIO IR receiver. Are there any I2S DACs which can be used, while retaining access to GPIO pins?

Thanks for any info. Looking forward to release 3.

The IQaudIO Pi-DAC exposes gpio 22/23/24/25/27, 3v3 and also i2c allowing additional small load devices to be connected without hacking or soldering things.

We've used it for rotary encoders /IR etc.

Thanks Emma.
Do you, or does anyone else know if the same can be done with the IQAudio PiDAC?
