Since the v1.9.3 firmware, USB DAC has been working on Linux so thought I'd give it a shot (after buying a cheapo and cruddy Chinese I2S DAC for my Pi). On the DX50, select 'Mac/Linux DAC' from the USB settings menu and plug it in. As with plugging *anything* into my Pi B, it requires a powered hub due to the insanely unstable USB on this particular Pi but it works just fine so far.
Shows up in output menu as 'rk2928sdk'.
