At the mercy of all those the wizards, hackers and coders on this site, for what must be the most elementary of tasks in RuneAudio, I throw myself, completely frustrated and perplexed at your mercy to be scorned, ridiculed, or -hopefully - helped...
I have tried adding Soma, Linn, Psychomed, etc the way I would add it in an Android app like Neutron to no avail whatsoever. Here's my apparently numbskull method:
I find the .pls file of the stream on the radio station's website.
I highlight the address and copy it (usually with ctrl+c or right click drop down).
I paste it into the 'add web radio station' wizard in Rune and give the station an appropriate name (Soma FM - Groove Salad, Audiophile Baroque, etc.)
I hit the 'Add New Station' button and Rune tells me the station has been successfully added.
I go into the sources page, find web radio, click it, find my station, right click the menu drop down, select 'add, replace, and play')
I get silence.
I pull my hair out.
There must be something simple I am forgetting to do. Apologies to those who know their way around this interface; I'm sure I must be coming across like a blathering idiot. Truth be told, I could never get this to work on Volumio, either. Although, I must express my sheer delight in the fact that plug and play of multiple USB drives works right out of the box and the addition of Dirble and Jamendo alone warrant explicit joy in discovering Rune. Seriously - my utmost gratitude to the developers. I am a music lover in a candy store right now - and all the pixie sticks are infused with crack! (I'm THAT happy - even without the web radio).
Oh. And I don't know if it matters, but I'm running v.03 on a R. Pi2. Just a simple Fiio USB DAC lining into a 3.5mm jack on my Creative D200 for output. The sound is good, as is the function of local files, Spotify integration and Jamendo. Just can't figure out this web radio thing...
