Installing WiFi Dongle

Don't know how to install my Edimax N150 wifi dongle on my raspbarry pi. I access the pi via it's ip address from my windows 10 pc or ipad when I play music. The edimax support guy says I have to access the pi through the pi terminal but he couldn't tell me how to do that. As you may gather, my knowledge is pretty basic. Anybody able to explain it to this (still) noobie? Thanks!

Found the interface under network in Rune. Selected "WLANO [no ip adress assigned]", selectedmy network, entered my password, but no luck. Status says "no network connected." Thanks.

Is this the dongle you have? If so, it shouldn't require any installation.

Have you setup wifi access while on a wired connection first? You will intially need to have a wired connection to setup the wireless and enter the wifi password for your network (if applicable) to get it running on wifi. Then you can disconnect the wired connection, reboot and all should work.

I've followed the steps n the link, but at the end I don't get a green check mark, rather the red X remains. Any suggestions? Thanks.
