I am trying to access a smb share that shares the contents of a USB HD (ext4) that is connected to the Raspberry Pi (model b). I can do this without difficulties in Ubuntu by browsing the network but it does not appear in OS X Yosemite.
If i attempt to access smb://192.168.1.103 from my mac I get an error saying "There was a problem connecting to the server "192.168.1.103". The version of the server you are trying to connect to is not supported. Please contact your system administrator to resolve this problem".
It seems that Rune Audio is using an older version of smb that is incompatible with OS X, is this correct? I have attempted to force OS X to use the older smb 1 by modifying ~/Library/Preferences/nsmb.conf without success. Is it possible to manually upgrade smb within Rune Audio so that it is compatible with OS X?
I should mention that I can ssh to the Pi via the mac's terminal without issues.
Thanks in advance. Rune is totally great, this one issue is the only complaint I have (and I realise it's a Mac issue really...)
