After using the search function on google and this forum for multiple weeks now, i can't get my LCD to work. I followed multiple guides online (even a google translated korean one!). I hit and read all search results from https://www.google.nl/webhp#q=runeaudio+i2c+lcd. The guides do not are outdated, work for a different RPi version, or have an other reason for not working on my installation
.I've installed RuneAudio and it works fine on a fixed ip in the network. I use a 40x2 hd44780-based lcd display (), connected to an i2c backpack(). I can successfully use some of the python lcd examples to print text to the display on a previous installation, so all hardware works. I do not understand why this functionality isn't slipstreamed into the base installation-image.
If someone could point me in the right direction i would be very thankful!
