Re: Library Not Loading

In the past, when I could see the Library contents, I've tried moving songs to the Queue. I have briefly been successful in moving songs to the Queue, but even then they do not play. I understand the basics of using the UI, it's simply not working and I cannot figure out why--despite repeatedly reloading the original RuneAudio image onto the SD card and running the updates (mentioned in your previous posts).

Presently, I cannot get anything to appear in the Library. It is not showing the one album in the network source mounted. I cannot access DIRBLE from the Library screen.

Thanks!
Tom

Hi Tom,

thank you for the pictures, now it is clear what your problem is.

What browser do you use?
On which OS?

Please try a different browser and also try to use the "ip address" instead of "runeaudio"
http://192.168.0.100 for example.

Please try

I'm running Google Chrome v47 on Windows 7 Pro. The Raspberry Pi 2 is at 192.168.1.37.

I get the same result accessing the Pi via Internet Explorer via the IP address...

Hi tbahrman,

sorry but i'm out of ideas.

RuneAudio should work out of the box on a RP2.
You can try to disable the firewall and virus protection on your PC.
It seems that there is an issue with websockets on your network.

You also can check the console (on your browser) for errors.

I am also having this issue. A few months ago, I was able to get the software to work, however I used that sd card for something else. I went to go download a new image and flashed my SD card. The first time I started it, it wasn't working. I rebooted soon after the first boot, so I thought maybe i had corrupted something while it was initializing. I decided to format the SD card and re-flash.

When I flashed it again, I tried a few things differently. I tried waiting for many minutes, then I changed the /boot/config.txt and enabled my hifi berry digi board. I rebooted, I waited until after it had gotten the web page initialized and tried accessing my library. At first it was a blank screen, no internet radio or any other options (same as tbahrman.) I went to reboot again, and when I rebooted, I saw a lot of options, but they were all gray due to the reboot (see screenshot.) That didn't appear until the moment I selected "reboot." After it rebooted, all those options are gone.

Once it rebooted, I plugged in my USB drive. It has many GB of music, so I assume it is indexing now, however the "Library" icon at the bottom is not rotating, as I am used to seeing in Volumio, or in my earlier version of Rune, when it is updating the library. One other thing, at first, when the library screen was blank, the "library setup icon" (little gear) was not visible. Now, when I go to the library screen, I see a rotating wheel, and the icon is there, but when I click it, it just turns blue, but does nothing. At first, the library folder did say "home" like is shown in tbahrman's screenshots.

I am also able to search the library using the search function, and play music one track at a time. However it does not show up in the queue, that is just a blank screen.

The main playback screen is just rotating wheels, similar to what tbahrman experienced.

The first time I installed rune, I had none of these issues. I might try and find that old image this weekend and re-flash again, and see if that solves my problems.

Ran the update, as suggested in the second post. Thought it locked up on the "git pull" command when it got to 18% / 88 files, but it continued on and finished after waiting ~5 minutes.

Rebooted, still same problem, however when it was shutting down, I noticed a message popped up in the corner referencing the files I was playing being added to the queue, so I thought it was working. No. :-( I see there is more activity in the main release thread so I will move over there.

Hi marzie,

please let us know a bit more about your setup.
- hardware (RP1 or RP2)?
- browser?
- OS?
- connecting via http://runeaudio or ip address?

Please try to open a second browser and point it also to RuneAudio.
