Library scan not getting all folders in SMB share

Is there a way to have better insight into why particular folders are not on my library (like, 10% of them)? I tried rescanning, but they don't show up.

What kind of audio files are in those directories that do not show up (m4a, cue, ogg...)?

Is the entire folder failing or only singular mp3 files?
What are the names of those folders?

How about just changing extension of one of those MPEG ADTS from .mp3 to .aac (or .m4a)?

Is the directory and file which you re-baptised to .aac visible after library update?

I'll try that, sure - but what about the folders with real MP3's, though? :/
