MicroMega MyDAC not working

I have been trying to to get a new RPi 3 B working with my MicroMega MyDAC with no success. RuneAudio is the fourth setup I have tried (others include Kodi on OSMC and Xbian, as well as Volumio). In all cases the problem seems to be that the RPi just does not seem to recognize the DAC as an Audio Output destination. I always get choices for HDMI and Analog (which work fine), but the USB DAC never shows up in the list.

In Runeaudio, when I plug in the USB cable , I get a pop-up notification that audio settings have changed, but still no USB choice in the Audio Output. In Volumio, I could see the DAC attempting to connect repeatedly via display on an HDMI monitor, but it never seemed to succeed, and at some point I would see an error which seemed network related. The bottom line is that there seems to be an incompatibility with the MyDAC and the RPi 3, but I can't find any mention of a solve.

If anyone here has ideas on how to fix this, I would greatly appreciate it.

I have the same setup you have, except for a raspberry 1 B instead of a pi 3 and I was not able to see the mydac micromega when it was in usb 2, but in usb 1 I can see it. Still if I play music it does not launch and the dac never locked... I'm working on that since yesterday.
I hope that changing your usb config help you, and if anyone has a fix for me?

Forgive my ignorance, but I am very new to the RPi world (like, this week). When you say "set the DAC to USB 2", how exactly do I do that?

I will try to get the debug info you mention later today.

To get the best possible support, please specify your hardware and RuneAudio version. is also suggested.

It's a rapsberry pi 3 B with runeaudio 0.4 (build: beta-20160313) connected in usb to a mydac micromega.
When I play music the time display on the playback menu increase but the dac don't get locked. (The led blink, which means it's not locked),
and there is no output.
