It appears from my mpd.conf file that I am having exactly the same problems as reported here:
The auto-configuration routine is not adding the sub-device number of the USB soundcard to mpd.conf. As a result of this I get no sound when selecting the USB soundcard from the GUI.
Are there plans to fix this bug?
I have followed all the suggestions in that topic and still cannot get it to work. One obvious problem is that commenting out the line in the source code to prevent auto-refresh of the mpd.conf at boot is not working - my manual edits are lost!
After manual editing of the mpd.conf and restarting mpd, rune_SY_wrk and rune_PL_wrk, the GUI no longer offers the option to select audio output - it just displays a message saying mpd.conf was modified outside the GUI!!
How do I select the audio output if I make manual edits to mpd.conf?
How do I prevent my manual mpd.conf edits being lost?
