mount error after reboot, no artist, no mpd.log

Postby flyerathome » 06 Mar 2017, 23:28

Hi,

I just finished setting everything up (and unfortunately I do have problems with my shares from my Synology.
Had the same with volumio (and this is one reason I dropped volumio in favor of rune) - so probably this has something to do with mpd.

The share is beautifully mounted (so far so good) - either as NFS or SMB/CIFS share (volume1/music)
When I reboot, the share is listed: mount error(101): Network is unreachable Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs)
(same applies to NFS)
Would it be the "official workaround" to manually mount using /etc/fstab ?
On a different computer, mounting works of course, and even on the runeaudio via ssh, I can manually mount using smbclient.
The debug-log shows:
[ 104.342893] CIFS VFS: Error connecting to socket. Aborting operation.
[ 104.346670] CIFS VFS: cifs_mount failed w/return code = -101
Maybe interesting to know here, that I don't have ethernet connected, but using a WiFi dongle.

Second, on the library page, there is no "Artist" or "Album" or anything (even when mounted and let index for a while), only "Network Mounts", "USB Mount", "Webradio", "Spotify", "Jamendo" and "Dirble" (the last three I'd rather like to remove...)

Third, and last:
There is no mpd.log (even when log state set to verbose); there is no such file in /var/log
Manually adding the "log directory" in the /etc/mpd.conf did not change anything as well.
Strange.

RPi is a new A+ model
Runeaudio is 0.3beta

Thanks for any help!
Best regards,
Steffen

Hi,

please try to update to our Nightly Builds.

And also check the RaspberryPi trouble shouting from our documentation.

Dear Frank,

I'll try the nightly build.
Unfortunately the documentation did not solve it for me.

I find it very confusing that there is no proper logging.
[root@runeaudio ~]# cd /var/log
[root@runeaudio log]# ls -l
total 16
-rw------- 1 root utmp 0 Jan 1 1970 btmp
-rw------- 1 root root 24 Mar 7 23:31 faillog
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 292 Mar 7 23:31 lastlog
-rw------- 1 root root 466 Jan 1 1970 php-fpm.log
drwxrwxrwt 2 root root 0 Jan 1 1970 runeaudio
-rw-rw-r-- 1 root utmp 1536 Mar 7 23:31 wtmp
[root@runeaudio log]# cd runeaudio/
[root@runeaudio runeaudio]# ls -l
total 24
-rw-r--r-- 1 redis redis 65 Jan 1 1970 redis.log
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 51 Jan 1 1970 rune_PL_wrk.log
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 55 Jan 1 1970 rune_SY_wrk.log
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 6746 Mar 7 23:29 runeui.log
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 145 Jan 1 1970 runeui_error.log

Is there any other place, where the logs are located?

Thanks.
