Move SD to new raspberry Pi

Postby eboxr » 04 May 2016, 05:10

Hi I was using without issues runeaudio on RPI3.
Today I received a new RPI3 which comes with better heatsink, so I was thinking to use the new box for my permanent runeaudio server....
What a mistake...

after moving the sd card from the RPI3 box A to RPI3 box B.... I discovered that network was not up...
so I though maybe wifi is linked somewhere to mac address....
so decided to move back the sd card to the box A (original box)...
and same issue... no network....
I m able to mount both partitions on my linux server... but do not know what need to be done to reset the network without losing my LocalStorage music collection and all settings....

Any suggestions ? ideas ? how to be able to restore network after moving the sd card to a different hardware ?

thanks

connect your RPi over HDMI to the screen, plug in USB keyboard, get into cmd and check your settings manually
