Music not detected

Postby Matt Standing » 31 May 2016, 13:08

RPi3.
I have installed RuneAudio and it appears to be up and running, I can access it using http/ssh from my android devices but I am not able to stream any music?
I have several hundred mp3 files on an sd card on an Android 6 tablet but they are not detected when I force source update. I have tried moving them into the root of the sd card and into a folder called "music" but it makes no difference.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Matt

Hi Matt,

and welcome to the Forum.

It would help if you posted what you entered in the Rune UI, when you added the Android tablet as a source, and any error you may have noticed at the time.

You also have to make sure that any shared directory used as a source for RuneAudio has proper permissions set, or at least post what you set up. If RuneAudio does not have at least read permissions to the contents of your Android tablet, it will not be able to add the music files to the library.

With more information, you will get better help.
