NAS Mount Question

Postby hagensieker » 30 Nov 2014, 01:38

I just downloaded and installed Rune beta 0.3

I am using a network share on an external hard drive on a Mac Mini server to play my FLAC library. It works great. Which leads me to my question.

Where is the mount command for the network share located?

The reason I ask is I have another Pi with Arch Linux installed and am trying to access the same mount quite unsuccessfully.

I would have thought it was in /etc/fstab but it isn't there.

I want to swipe the mount command and replicate on my other Pi.

Thanks,

John

Never mind I got it. In a blaze of smartness I typed the following at a command prompt

mount

was able to create my fstab on my other Pi with Arch with the information contained within.

Not in reply to your post, but seeing that your library is on a Mac volume I'm curious as to exactly how you have connected to it from Rune. I am struggling to mount Macs. I do have one mounted, but I can't mount others. It would be great if you would let me know what you did.

Sorry, not quite what I meant. Did you do anything outside of the Rune UI to establish Rune's connection to the Mac mini?

Sorted!

System Preferences / Sharing / Options - turn on Share files and folders using SMB
