Need help finding and editing .conf files (solved)

Postby vienna_hifi_addict » 29 Aug 2016, 22:17

Greetings:

Though I used to edit autoexec.bat, config.sys, and other files when I had a DOS computer, I know nothing about Linux.

I found this thread

unable-to-play-spotify-to-usb-dac-audiolab-t3236.html

on this forum about editing the libao.conf and spopd.conf so that Spotify will play through a USB DAC. Problem is, I don't know how to find these files and how to edit them.

I'm using a Raspberry Pi3 connected via USB and audio out to a Benchmark DAC. I can stream Spotify through the Pi's audio out, but not via USB.

I'd appreciate any help someone who knows more could offer

Thanks,
David

Frank:

It worked! Now listening to Spofity via USB. Thanks very, very much.
