Network mount error (solved)

Postby ianhaynes » 11 Apr 2016, 14:06

Having changed my router Rune can no longer connect to the NAS drive I use to store music on. I can see the drive in Windows Explorer and can see that it's address hasn't changed but Rune no longer recognises it. I've tried both it's network name and ip address.

I've tried recreating the mount without sucess. When looking at the original Mount it shows an error:

mount error(22): Invalid argument Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs)

There are lots of references on Google to this but nothing that makes sense to me.

Any help appreciated.

For some unknown reason, and without making any changes, the network mount came back to life. It must have been caused by the new router in some way.
