No Internet Connection

Postby SomeGuy » 18 Apr 2015, 14:04

Hello again,

More frustration for me.

I moved my Pi so required a Wifi dongle (Edimax Nano), having unplugged the Pi & moved it, I have now hooked everything back up (wired to the router as well), tried 4 different chargers/power sources & the Pi has now decided it has interest in connecting to the internet. Brilliant.

Anyone have any ideas how to fix this? I need to connect to the internet wired first & foremost & then some guidance on setting up the Edimax would also be appreciated.

Thanks again in advance for any assistance.

Decided to start from scratch to see if that helps, currently re-flashing my SD card with the RuneAudio img file.

Re-imaging the card has done nothing.

So, Pi was working this morning, unplugged & now refuses to work.

Ok, so it appears to be a power issue? Once plugged directly into a socket it's up and running, which is odd given that it was working ok via an extension this morning....

Ok, so I can access the Pi, finally, but I am unable to set up a wireless/wifi connection.

I have tried too ssh into the Pi but it won't take any passwords (rune, root etc).

Any ideas?

I am getting frequent internet dropouts (404 error) halfway through a playlist. The Pi is wired into my router so I am unable to comprehend why it refuses to work.

Once this happens my router appears unwilling to allocate the Pi an IP address so I end up stuck with a program that doesn't work & that is prone to failure.

I have the Dev settings on but I'm reluctant to remove these as this is the only way that my music library becomes useable (too many artists & a stack of them show as bizarre letter/numeric values such as AZ-20446 etc).

Some assistance would be gratefully received, by anyone...

Aaaaaaannnndddd, we're back to not booting. Everything seems to point to insufficient power, which makes no sense given that the same board was powered by the same cables without issue/fault only 2 days ago. This is so close to going in the bin, it's unreal.

SomeGuy, RuneAudio 0.3-beta is reported to work out of the box on pretty much all the Rpi hardware configurations. You should rather check the health of your hardware (corrupt SD card? weak PSU? loosy cables? router malfunctioning?) before posting all this mess...
