Hi Guys...

I am going to have to retire ....hurt....

All was good.... I decided to try and install a toslink splitter into the equation - my thinking conntect the pc to one hole and the Pi to the other hole and what ever was working would come out the single hole...yes all very technical

swapped some cable and of course it did not work....so I replace the cables as before NO SOUND.....

Rebooted, re-started NOTHING.

there is a red light at the optical out on the Digi + (yes checked it was digi).... so I swapped the cable (optical) to the optical of the PC....NOISE.-MUSIC...swapped it to the Pi NO NOise...all was working 30min ago and I have done nothing but unplug and plug....

No I do not have a long enough RCA cable to check this on the Digi....but if there is a light...there should be NOISE???

Sorry guys... I am jinxed....

foxint > Did you end up figuring this out? What went wrong? Must have feedback, sitting on the edge of my seat here.... waiting with baited breath.... :shock:
