No sound - Raspberry Pi Model B + Audiophonics DAC PCM5102 I

Hi,

I'm very annoyed by this: I get no sound at all while playing, either from USB or from my NAS. There's nothing wrong with my hardware setup, as I don't have that particular problem with Volumio. I'm using an Audiophonics DAC PCM5102 I2S P5 32bit/384kHz on a Raspberry PI Model B.
What might be the problem here?

Still not working… I thought it could be a SD-card-related issue, so I switched for a new one but no cigar!

Hi Frank,

As a matter of fact, the pastebin link to my debug data is in my first post. Here it is again: http://pastebin.com/4tZE6yJg
I did everything as required, trust me… Yesterday, I flashed a new Class 10 SDHC 16 GB card, updated RuneUI, did all the settings all over again… Still no sound.
And I had an intuition: what if the trouble originated from the kernel? In the menu, I then selected the 0.3-alpha kernel and rebooted… And to my astonishment I had sound at last!
That's why I had sound in Volumio and none in Rune… But it still seems odd to me!

Thank you, Frank. I'll try updating to the latest dev build (RuneUI is already up to date) before going away for the week end. I will also grab some more debug data along the way, starting with current working config, and working config post update.
About mpd.conf, where is that file, and is there a way to manually correct it?

Hi makfredo,

i compared your debug data line by line and couldn't find anything special.
So sorry but i really can't help in this case.
It's really strange because with my Hifiberry DAC it works all just fine.

Very strange indeed… Could this be purely hardware related?
But the essential part is that I can use Rune anyway! Kudos for all the hard work you guys are putting into this fine piece of software!
