ODROID C1+ with 7” Touch screen

Postby smallfat » 23 Jan 2016, 16:27

Hi,

I use the following image to set up my system ( ODROID c1+ and ODROID-VU7 7” Touch screen)
http://dn.odroid.com/S805/RuneAudio_7inch_standalone/
It works well.

I buy another 7” Touch screen with higher resolution (1024 x 600) (7inch HDMI LCD (C) Rev2.1)
from WaveShare. ( WaveShare support claim Rev2.1touch screen use standard HID )
I change RuneAudio display resolution to 1024 x 600 at /boot/boot.ini and reboot system.
Display works well but touch screen no function.

To find the vendor ID (VID) and product ID (PID) for touchscreen using lsusb,

Bus 001 Device 002: ID 05e3:0610 Genesys Logic, Inc. 4-port hub
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 0eef:0005 D-WAV Scientific Co., Ltd
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub

What I should do to make touch screen works

Thanks

Hi,

I find a guide to fix waveshare-7inch-touchscreen-driver.
https://github.com/derekhe/waveshare-7i ... een-driver
But it only for raspiberry.
I am new to Linux. May I use same command as follows to install at RuneAudio to fix my problem?

Following are command for raspiberry:

git clone https://github.com/derekhe/waveshare-7i ... een-driver
cd wavesahre-7inch-touchscreen-driver
chmod +x install.sh
sudo apt-get update
sudo ./install.sh
sudo restart

Best Regards

Hi Frank,

Due to my poor knowledge to Linux, my problem still not fixed.
But I have some findings. I want to find the solution from another approach.

Let me state the case again.

1. ODROID C1+ with ODROID VU7, RuneAudio image downloaded from below
http://dn.odroid.com/S805/RuneAudio_7inch_standalone/
Works fine except there is a error message prompt every time I boot it up.

2. To improve display resolution and viewing angle, I change a higher resolution Waveshare 7" HDMI display.
http://www.waveshare.com/wiki/7inch_HDMI_LCD_(C)

Scenario 1:
With config in 1, just change resolution at boot/boot/ini
Display works fine, touch function not works.

Scenario 2:
Follow instruction mention at ODROID magazine November issue.
Once RuneAudio boot up, display and touch function works fine.
But chromium web browser/RuneUI cannot not startup.

From above scenario, may I conclude that original RuneAudio image/kernal
support this high resolution display and its touch function natively?

Prebuild image should install a driver to support ODROID VU7.
May I disable or uninstall it to make High resolution 7" display works.

Best Regards
Michael

Hi,

Does this solution only works on specific release of Chromium?
