@smallfat: when using LibreELEC, Android, Ubuntu MATE I have no issue with the real time if you set the timezone + automatic synchronize with the world time. Actually after booting it is indicated wrong time few seconds then it comes back with the real / precise local time. Your way is ok but we loss the 7 pins rather using this to make some mod for other purposes.

I have just tested it... dissapointed ...it sounds too bad ...very noisy ... this one has the display out from hdmi port? That is about the 16/44.1... for DSD the same issue ...I wrote to the microSD without any issue, running without any issue.

I test the hdmi audio out ...no signal at all !
