Password Protection of RuneUI

Postby highsane » 02 Mar 2015, 08:09

Hello,

I'm using Rune Audio with Raspberry Pi in my office, connected to the LAN and playing mp3s from the NAS. Now, some of my colleagues who make a simple LAN scan can see the Raspberry IP and directly access to RuneUI and can control my playlist. Is there a way to password protect the RuneUI interface?

Thanks in advance.

No, there isn't at this time, but it's a future feature we already have in our roadmap.

Hi

Yes i m also encounter this issues when i use it at office, my colleague connected to my runeaudio and playing around,
they control the volume up/down keep changing the song and reboot. Is like crazy shit. So at office and public i use SqueezePlug that
can enable http authentication with is great and secure. And at home i use runeaudio.

Hope to see soon can have http authentication. I love runeaudio but now home use only.

By the way do someone know if we can enable it at nginx? because i know nothing about arch linux.

tks

I need also a solution.
Could you tell us how you dit it?

There is a tutorial in the volumio forum but it doesn't work in runeaudio (or I made a mistake maybe :D )
