[SOLVED] Pi 2 & Digi+ w/ no audio output

Postby tret » 12 May 2015, 17:44

Hi all,

I followed the steps from the post below (uncommenting hifiberry-digi instead of hifiberry-dac) w/ no luck. Does anyone with a Pi 2 & Digi+ have working optical audio? If so, am I missing something?

Disregard, total noob user error mistake. I'm using a Marantz AV receiver until I can figure out what DAC/AMP combo I want and forgot to assign the digital input ports to a input selection. Sound is working now.

I do have a secondary issue though, perhaps this is known? When using a wireless connection via the Edimax N wifi USB dongle I get choppy audio playback. When switching to an ethernet connection (which is actually connected to a wireless AC bridge) I get smooth audio. Thoughts?

It's always the power supply - or at least that's a good place to start in my limited noob experience.

You could also plug the dongle into a PC to check its speed etc.

Try these first before worrying about Rune, which worked for me after I beefed up the power to a 2 A one.

Sorry I can't help if it's more complicated than that. Good luck!
