Picobber v2.1 DAC

Hello,

I recently bought Picobber V2.1 DAC from AlieXpress for my Raspberry Pi 2011.12 (I think a B version).
The red led on the Picobber is shining, so I guess the hardware DAC is plugged well on the Raspberry Pi.

Unfortunately I can't select the Picobber in the settings of RuneAudio. But I've read it has a similar chip as the Hifiberry, so I selected that one. But no dice, so I went to alsamixer to see if the sound wasn't muted, but when I selected the HifiBerry, alsamixer said: no controls.

Anyone any suggestions to get the Picobber working (or maybe a way to debug some more?)?

This might seem like a stupid question, but have you soldered the P5 header pins on the raspberry pi?

Not a stupid question at all...
The connector wasn't included, so I guessed it wasn't necessary.
I was wrong...

Now buying a connector and soldering...

Hi Nob, when you have the Picobber DAC properly connected, please post here your debug info via Pastebin, so we can collect some useful data about it.

Ok, I will let you know, but it might take some time, I ordered a p5 connector from AlieXpress and most of the time, it takes a few weeks to get here (Europe).

You should have gone into an electronics shop in your nearbies, it cost only a few cents
