Ok, I update to a nightly build and check some settings .. now it is playing.

thank you ... but when I use the "normal" image ... I have no sound on my Raspberry.
After upgrading to the last nightly build, it works.

I have analog audio first testing ... now I use a USB Soundcard:
HiHimeDIY DAC

It play now fine ... but on Spotify I have no volume control

Also overhere I have a problem with the raspberry Pi2. Connected to HDMI I choose that in the MPD settings (was pre selected but okay) but no sound. Added local files on NAS, interface says it is playing (but on 0kbps throughput "Stereo, 16 bit, 44.1 kHz, 0 kbps") and the progress circle displayed 00:00. Restart mpd from the options doesn't do anything at first glance but the suddenly it starts playing...

Could the initial volume setting (changed from -1 to 50 and back to -1 after confirming play) do something in this?

I had the same problem with my PI2, connected to my Samsung Smart TV through HDMI, no sound and no "time" progressing, output selected "HDMI output" in the MPD menu.
Even with the nightly build (0.4).
Switched the output to "Analog output" and everything started working (sound and time progressing).
Then I mounted an HiFiBerry DAC+, configured and everything worked out.
But I don't know why the HDMI output was not working.
