Python development with rune?

Postby PaulisSNOS » 10 Feb 2015, 14:37

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to create a combined headless mp3 player and an alarm clock that's connected to my google calender.
I would love to create a script that plays a certain mp3 file - or playlist - in reaction to a calender event - probably rss.
I've tried to use the scripts written for raspbian, but have had no luck. Is there a way I can run .py files on a Runeaudio Pi? My Pi is a B model by the way and I connect via ethernet.

Hi,

have you installed python?

If you haven't installed python yet, have a look at this thread:

Hi,
Thanks for the link! I tried to, but I think something went wrong at one end of the keyboard or the other ;)
Just a had a thought, Do you know if Rune is available as a package that can run on raspian instead of the full RuneOS?
Sorry for the noobish questions but I'm kind of feeling my way through the Pi-verse, I've lost count the amount of times I've had to reformat my SD card (Note to self: Buy more SD cards and a Pi for testing...)
