Raspberry 2, need DAC?

Hello,

I have build my first system, based on an ancient RPi. For this, I used the ES9023 DAC and an amplifier.
Now I want to build my second machine and I am not sure what to use. Shall I look for an older Rpi for cheap and get a DAC or can I trust on the audio output of the new Rpi-2?
What are your results in the real world?

The Pi2 has similar native audio to the Pi1 - it's still bad but different.

If you are serious about the audio quality then add a DAC. There is a wide selection available for the Pi - we design and sell i2s DAC and AMPs
